Debbie Cook, Master Gardener and Certified Arborist, shared her experience attending the Idaho Nursery and Landscape Conference last week. Some of the classes offered for continuing education credits included: Foodscape, Tree Worker Safety, Outdoor Voles and Rodent Control, Turf Diseases, Water Features, Irrigation Systems, Bees Trees and Colony Collapse Disorder, etc. This is a short list of topics that Master Gardeners and hobby gardeners are seeking more knowledge on in our area.
Debbie received some calls regarding grow lights and indoor gardening. It is important to know which of your seeds need light and which ones need darkness. Are you wondering what should be done with your Amaryllis bulbs? Are you wondering when is the best time and what seeds to start this time of year? Are you interested in growing your own tea plants? Listen in to hear some tips and tricks from Debbie and her listeners.
The Annual Tree Classes held at the Boise Public Library are free to anyone who would like to attend. They will be held on the last week of February. For a complete schedule, follow this link.
