Whether you have a potential Grand Champion or a lovable mutt, the Westminster Kennel Club dog show seems to be gaining more attention every year.
This year there are three mixed breeds added to the list for the the new agility trial event, which is a first in over 138 years. The Chinook, the Portuguese podengo pequeno and the rat terrier are all newcomers this year and although cute, they are not expected to win. The mixed breeds will not compete for the Best in Show event, so the All American dogs (mixed breeds) will strut their stuff around poles, across the planks and over many jumps. You can catch the first annual event on Fox Sports, Saturday, February 8th from 7-9 p.m ET.
Another popular television based dog events happening the first part of the year is the Puppy Bowl. If you choose not to watch the Big Game and watch the over-the-top adorable Animal Planets Puppy Bowl X, the lineup will melt your heart.
