Owyhee County Fair and Rodeo Offers the Best in Small-town Action.
August is rodeo season throughout the West and one of the best small town rodeos is starting this week. The Owyhee County Fair and Rodeo in Homedale, Idaho, is underway with rodeo action Aug. 8-11.
“We think we’ve got the best show in rodeo,” Owyhee County Rodeo Vice President Dennis Pruett said. “We have a good crowd, a good payback and added money for the contestants, and King Livestock does a fantastic job.”
Wednesday, Aug. 9, is Kick Cancer Night and attendees are asked to wear pink. Finals are Aug. 11 where the best of the best square off in an adventure-packed arena.
Tickets are available at the D&B Supply stores in Caldwell and Nampa as well as Matteson’s in Homedale and of course, at the gate.
Gates open at 7 p.m.
Wednesday: Kids 12 and under are free, seniors $7 and general admission is $10
Thursday: Youth $7, seniors $7 and general $12.
Friday and Saturday: Youth $7, general $12.
