July 17-21, 2012, Snake River Stampede, Nampa, Idaho

Originally it was called the Rodeo and Buck Show and the bucking stock was herded overland from the Horseshoe Bend area. In 1937, it was named the Snake River Stampede and became a professional rodeo. Virtually all of the world champions have competed at the Stampede at one time or another. August 14-18, 2012, Caldwell Night Rodeo, Caldwell, Idaho

The Caldwell Night Rodeo was organized in 1935 as part of the festivities to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the beginning of irrigation on the Boise project. It was called the Homesteaders’ Silver Jubilee and Night Rodeo. Lights were installed on the grounds and the first night rodeo to be held in southern Idaho was witnessed by thousands of people. Stock was provided by Everett Colborn and Doc Sorenson and $2,500 was put up in prize money. Kid Combs of Caldwell, a professional bronc buster, was the first cowboy to file his name on the entry list for the rodeo. Click here for the CNR website and here for the Facebook page.

August 16-18, 2012, Gooding Pro Rodeo, Gooding, Idaho

The Gooding Pro Rodeo is not your average County Fair and Rodeo. With the philosophy of “In order to achieve the best, hire the best”. In 2006, not one but three of the most respected contractors in the business were brought to Gooding. Click here for their website.

This full day clinic is full this Sunday, but we will be holding two more in the near future. The clinic is $40.00 and lunch is provided.
