You met Heidi Mikitish in our People of Our West series about her and her husband, Joe, who have a nice mini-farm happening in their back yard where they not only feed their family, but up to six other families in need as well. When we were walking around their huge garden she would talk about how she was going to make this and that with what they harvested from their garden. Garlic Caesar Dressing

(base recipe)

1/3 cup Virgin Olive Oil
3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice (not concentrate)
1tsp salt
1tsp mustard seed powder
Crushed Pepper to taste
2-3 cloves of fresh crushed garlic
1 T organic sugar, or sweetener of choice

Shake well in a pint mason jar and enjoy!

Other Variations:
For a creamy dressing add 3 T of mayonnaise or silken tofu

My favorite Summer variation to this recipe is adding:
Fresh chopped chives, lemon thyme, fresh basil and a whole pureed fresh tomato
