Old tractors and farming implements are, at least for some of us, things of beauty. These antique and often rusted machines serve as both reminders of our shared past and mile markers along the road of our progress.

Recently, a friend commented about a photograph of an old Farmall tractor that I have hanging on the living room wall at home. The question got me thinking about old tractors — and photographs of old tractors — as art. What follows are several old tractor photographs that I found using an image search tool called Compfight. All of the pictures were available under a Creative Commons license, so I thought I would share them with you here.

I made adjustments to all of pictures with Adobe Photoshop, so please follow the links and check out the originals too.
