October 22, 2016 – Master Gardener, and Certified Arborist, welcomed Jim Duthie to help answer questions and to also talk about gardening myths.
Now is the time to rake up your leaves, but don’t throw them away. Mulching is your friend. Grind them up with your lawnmower and either put them in your composter or spread them over your cleaned up garden or landscape.
Customers always want to know if it is still ok to plant bulbs and the answer is yes, but only if you do it right now. Despite the myth of having a woodpecker poke your eyes out, it is okay to transplant your peonies right now, but only two inches deep if you want them to bloom the next year.
Listen in for more myths, tips, advice and a good chat with fellow gardener, Jim Duthie on this week’s D&B Garden Show.
